Who AM I?

I am Emma Marie — a singer, songwriter, and mother of three, each of my children born in a different season of my life. Their arrivals and the journeys that followed have shaped not only who I am as a woman, but also the music I write and the causes I champion.

I have been singing since my teenage years, finding my first voice in church and carrying that gospel-rooted, soulful sound onto stages big and small — from intimate gatherings to large events, and even into online spaces where connection is just as powerful. My songs are born from everyday moments: love, life, motherhood, and the beauty hidden in the mundane. Through them, I hope to offer ease, solidarity, and a reminder that we are never alone in the ordinary.

Beyond music, I am deeply committed to women’s health and equity in maternity care. As a women’s health advocate, I work to improve the systems that serve mothers and women, focusing on quality of care and access. I am proud to serve as a trustee at Maternity Action, where I campaign to end pregnancy poverty and support women through some of their most vulnerable times.

All of these experiences inspired me to create The Mumdane Life — a series of acoustic musical moments designed to hold space for the everyday realities of motherhood. It is a project of solidarity and comfort, offering a voice to those walking through sleepless nights, endless routines, and the unspoken challenges of raising children.

At the heart of everything I do is this: I want to use my voice — in song and in advocacy — to soothe, to connect, and to push for better conditions for women. My journey as a mother, artist, and activist are all woven together in the music I make and the spaces I hold.

I invite you to be part of this journey; through The Mumdane Life, live shows, and community, let’s celebrate the everyday and hold space for one another.

Every blessing,

Emma Marie xx
